You don’t want to miss this very intimate edition of our social reading party.

For this special themed evening at Vessel Amsterdam, we collaborate with 'het Rode Oor', the erotic short story competition of the Benelux. We celebrate their finalists by diving into the world of erotic literature: stories of longing, desire, tension, intimacy, fantasy, and connection. Expect a warm, candlelit atmosphere where curiosity and imagination quietly take center stage. 

During the event, we will share a selection of short erotic stories from Het Rode Oor in different formats. Expect little provocative tales to appear throughout the space, ready to be discovered between conversations, and drinks. 

Bring your own book, or rely on the stories we provide. The American Book Centre will also host an erotic lit themed pop up store for you to get a book on theme. After exploring the stories, you can drift into conversation, continue reading, or explore one of the optional experiences throughout the night. There is no fixed route through the evening. Follow your curiosity.

Throughout the evening, you are invited to step into our Confession Booth: an anonymous space to share a secret crush, an unrealized fantasy, a memory, a love confession, or a sentence you’ve never dared to say out loud. Some confessions may anonymously find their way back into the room later that evening… 👀

Your ticket includes entry and a first drink. Small snacks will be available, and the American Book Center will be there with a curated selection of seductive, sensual, and thought-provoking reads.
